Gareth P. Jones' Pet Defenders Book Tour!

Gareth P. Jones is taking Biscuit & Mitzy on tour to celebrate the publication of his third Pet Defenders title: the brand new comic caper, Escape from Planet Bogey.
Gareth is available to visit schools for multi-year group assemblies. He will bring his ukelele to play his original songs inspired by the books, and will include a Q&A and book signing. Multi-school audiences are also welcome as the bigger the group the better it's suited to enjoy his presentation!
While this book tour focuses on his new Pet Defenders series for emerging readers, Gareth is always happy to add additional sessions for other age groups if you so wish. Please mention your interest when you contact us with your school's proposal for hosting an event and we will do our best to fit in your request.

Audience: Minimum size 90 - 500+ (no maximum) the more the merrier! Ages 6 - 9 years old, Yrs 1 - 3/4.
Fee WAIVED! During the publicity book tour the publisher will cover travel and accommodation costs and there will be no fee. In exchange they would expect excellent promotion of book sales ahead of the event and for the parents of all attending students to be informed that books will be available for sale. (PGBB will provide schools materials to assist with pre-event publicity, on-line and in-school pre-ordering facilities etc.)
Equipment Requirements: IT not required, but if you have a piano available, Gareth will definitely play it as part of his presentation!

Gareth P. Jones is a winner of the Blue Peter Book Award, and banjolele minstrel extraordinaire. He creates lively interactive performances for students, peppered with irreverent humour, unbridled energy and original songs inspired by his books. In between writing his 30+ books, and the songs to go with them, Gareth also works as a producer of TV documentaries. Born in Birmingham and now living in London with his wife and two children, Gareth writes wonderful novels and picture books for readers ages two to teen. (See below for more of his titles...)
Steve May is an illustrator and animator based in north London. He was born in sunny Hastings and has an MA in Animation from the Royal College of Art. As an illustrator he has produced work for a variety of clients including Marks & Spencer, Harper Collins, The Guardian, The Economist, Puffin & Faber amongst many others. And his mum says he's a genius.
